Logistics and end use possibilities of waste rock

In the project it is studied the end use possibilities of the waste rock, taking into account the inventory phase of volume and quality specifications, the needs and demand of regional industry, as well as the short and long term plans of regional construction and planning. The role of the construction and concrete company partners as experts of the end-use is important, and they can get direct benefit from the results of the project for their business development. In addition, as part of this module is the logistic analysis, to be carried out as cooperation between the Savonia University of Applied Sciences and GTK. Logistically, the application are of the waste rock area can be very large if, for example, rail or waterway access allows large stone quantities transported cost-effectively.

Logistics and end use possibilities of waste rock is one of the project's three functional modules. The other two are: waste rock inventory and products as well as marketing, communication and training.
